It is important to have a clear understanding of the boundary conditions within which the unloading and palletizing equipment must function. Here are a few important parameters to consider
- Average SKU per truckload
- Carton weight & size distribution
- Carton & barcode quality (cardboard, straps, tape, etc.)
- Container stuffing method (Random , snake loaded, etc.)
- Number of unloading docks
- Work hours (1,2,3 shifts)
Below you will find a comprehensive diagram that can be used for a high-over selection of the type of equipment required in your operation. Although this is not exact science, it can be used as a guideline.
